The Village Cook - Full-Time in Hemet, California
By adhering to The Village, Management Staff Philosophy, Vision and Mission Statements, the cook will assist Chef in the preparation and cooking of healthful, appetizing and balanced meals for our Residents, internal and external Guests by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following: Ensure food production meets required time schedules; that recipes and specifications are followed Assists in cleaning functions in order to keep work area clean and maintained in a safe and sanitary manner. Ensures that food is stored, marked, dated and covered correctly following FIFO methods. Adheres to all facility rules and regulations to promote a safe environment for residents and staff. Insures that kitchen is maintained in a safe and sanitary manner. Performs all duties in keeping with the mission statement of The Village and Freedom Properties. Adheres to Food Service Dept. motto “Customer Satisfaction is My Responsibility”. Other duties, assignments and/or special projects as required may be assigned that relate to the service of our residents to daily dietary department operations. Education and/or Experience:
Education and/or Experience:
A minimum of one years hands-on experience in the culinary field acting as a line cook or related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to perform job.
