The position of Sustainability Delivery Manager is a project management role that drives the delivery of Kingfisher’s sustainability goals and targets across the business. The key purpose is to drive the implementation of the sustainability strategy across the Group, including sharing best practice, delivering internal communications and driving business engagement. This role will partner with all Kingfisher’s Operating Companies (including B&Q, Castorama, Brico Depot, Screwfix and Koctas) and global functions (including Offer and Supply Chain, Group Purchasing, Logistics, Construction, Digital and People).
As the Sustainability Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for creating and implementing an internal communications plan (including supporting materials) to drive awareness of Kingfisher’s sustainability strategy across the Group.
You will support the Operating Companies and global functions to embed sustainability and deliver against Kingfisher’s sustainability targets. You will do this by creating processes to share best practice and celebrate success to drive sustainability delivery across the Group, working to improve the effectiveness and impact of Kingfisher’s Sustainability Network.
As the Delivery Manager you will centrally co-ordinate activities to deliver the sustainability strategy across a wide range of internal stakeholders and provide analysis of Group-wide performance on sustainability to the Head of Sustainability.
This position will require you to develop partnerships and collaborations, internally and externally to deliver the Kingfisher sustainability strategy through building capacity and capability.
You will support the Sustainability Data and Reporting Manager to engage with Operating Companies and global functions to improve sustainability data collection systems (e.g. Operating Company data on waste and recycling). As well as supporting the Head of Sustainability on ad hoc projects as required.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for Sustainability and how we can embed Sustainability throughout out core processes and procedures.
You will be someone who can work comfortably within a relatively ambiguous role with the ability to influence key stakeholders across the group and manage external consultants to deliver on key projects.
You will ideally have a proven track record of sustainability delivery and experience within project management/change management, likely within a retail or big manufacturing background. You may even come from career within communications as within this role you will be responsible for creating a bank of internal communications content. Coupled with the fact that you will be a key liaison between sustainability representatives in the Operating and Group Function teams, fluency in English and an outstanding ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels is crucial.
The nature of this role will require some travel to other offices.
