TITLE: WARSIM Simulation Specialist
LOCATION: Ft. Leavenworth, KS

Coordinates, analyzes, designs, schedules, and plans military simulations and training events to satisfy customer requirements and mission objectives. Provides specific subject matter expertise on the use, set-up, configuration, test, operation, and troubleshooting of command and control, simulation, and gaming systems to support troop training. Conducts analyses to evaluate customer technical training needs to determine appropriate training content, objectives and design. Independently assembles and conducts complete customer training to satisfy customer training requirements. Evaluates effectiveness of technical training to ensure learning objectives are met and recommends improvements.
•Performs complete task analysis, media/method analysis, fidelity analysis, and learning analysis. Assists higher level employees with needs analysis.
•Assesses and documents training needs, develops and delivers training as needed to enhance end-user understanding and performance. May partner with other specialists (e.g., designers, developers, engineers, programmers, technical publications/LSA) to determine the content of training material at the system level. Observes and tracks student performance. Recommends improvements as necessary.
•Sets up, configures, tests and operates command and control and simulations systems. Trains unit trainers in operation of these systems. Recovers systems as applicable.
•Tests and evaluates computer simulation exercises and provides feedback and recommendations.
•Executes set-up of training and exercise facilities.
•Evaluates complete customer training by observing, measuring, testing, reviewing, and analyzing training to ensure that learning objectives are met effectively. Observes and tracks student performance. Recommends improvements as necessary.
•Complies with commercial, government, regulatory, and organizational standards and specifications (e.g., ATA104, export control, ISO, ADL/SCORM, releasability) during development of complete courseware.
•May gather data to support complete proposal development activities.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
Typical Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED: ACTIVE DoD SECURITY LEVEL CLEARANCE PRIOR TO HIRE DATE
Preferred Skills and/or experience:
·The WARSIM Simulation Specialist shall have: A minimum of three (3) years recent experience with WARSIM in a JLCCTC environment.
·Expert knowledge is defined as experience and appropriate certification in JLCCTC capability development, VV&A, and user support.
·Expert knowledge in all functional aspects of WARSIM and its interaction with other JLCCTC federates and other federations that JLCCTC links to for exercises.
·WARSIM Simulation Specialist shall have knowledge of JLCCTC database administration.
·WARSIM Simulation Specialist shall have knowledge in planning and executing Army training exercises using training simulations.
·WARSIM Simulation Specialist shall have experience in developing & executing functional vignettes and planning and executing OREs for validation events.
·WARSIM Simulation Specialist shall exhibit knowledge in all aspects of military doctrine at the Battalion through Army level operations and command and staff training at those levels.
·WARSIM Simulation Specialist shall have knowledge of joint and coalition operations, training management, and capability development.
