As a member of the Operations Analysis organization, the candidate will be performing modeling and analysis of military systems to quantify the impact of operational concepts (CONOPS), system design, payloads, weapons and tactics, and force size/mix on survivability and mission effectiveness, as well as perform analysis to support requirements definition, concept of operations evaluation, operational and cost effectiveness studies, and military utility assessment. Responsibilities will include researching military systems performance and operations, modeling military systems and scenarios in digital simulations, executing trade studies, analyzing simulation results to draw meaningful conclusions, preparing reports/briefings and presenting analysis results. This position will primarily be performing Human Systems Integration analysis for technology enhancements to both current and future aircraft systems focused on Pilot Vehicle Interface (PVI). This position will require someone with military operational experience to translate their operational knowledge into PVI enhancements to allow for pilot ease of use.

The applicant will be responsible for maintaining a high level of expertise on Tactical System’s Pilot-Vehicle Interface (PVI), mission systems, and concepts of employment in realistic training environments. The applicant will work directly with customers by providing instruction via briefings and cockpit familiarization to achieve customers’ goals and LM Aeronautics’ strategic objectives; as well as assist with training CONOPS development and performance assessments for current and future capabilities. As an instructor for traveling & local cockpit simulation, the applicant will be responsible for supporting Business Development (BD) engagements with US & foreign military, political leaders, and the general public. In this position, the candidate may be required to support the Concept of Operations team, act as an ‘instructor pilot’ for our Virtual Simulation Environments, or only focus on PVI designs for current and future platforms.

Must be a US Citizen, position is located at a facility that requires special access. An active Secret government security clearance with a background investigation within the last five years is required to start. Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance and access to Special Access Programs.


Desired Skills: --Technical degree or Technical Experience with Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Aerospace, Aerodynamics, or Military Pilot Operations and Training.

--Experienced with Coalition Operations

-- Have the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

--Knowledge of military systems; with experience modeling employment of weapon systems and the operation of threat air & ground systems in simulations

--Good written and verbal communication skills

-- Must be experienced with and fluent in Microsoft Office suite, and Windows & other operating environments.

--Aerospace degree may be a plus

--Ability to Travel occasionally.


--Candidate must have a Bachelor or above degree.

--Experience with analytical thinking and problem solving skills

-- Experience as a pilot, in a one of the following fighter aircraft (e.g., F-16, F-18, F-22, F-35)

-- Experience with and in a field related to Military Operations Analysis; such as, Vehicle Design, Sensors, Signature Management, Weapons, Space, Cyber, Strategy, Human Systems Integration, Communications or Data Link Systems or Electronic Warfare.
