Responsible for the general maintenance of the facility and grounds, including aspects of equipment safety and security issues as defined in the organization’s Environment of Care Plans.

POSITION QUALIFICAITONS: * High School or equivalent

  • Trade School is helpful

  • Should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the HVAC field. Healthcare knowledge is a plus.

  • Three years of commercial or industrial experience in maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment. One year or more practical experience in an accredited hospital engineering department. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

    1. Knowledgeable in in all forms of refrigeration/mechanical systems, including but not limited to DX units, split systems, small chiller units, and all forms of air handling units, and associated equipment.

    2. Must be able to assure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing and completing preventative maintenance per operations manuals, manufactures instructions, engineering specifications, and diagrams.

    3. Must be able to trouble shoot and find problems as they arise by observing mechanical system in operation or at fault.

    4. Be able to make adjustments, calibrate, and maintain sensors, switches, valves, dampers, actuators, and all other mechanical devices as required.

    5. Be able to help assure equipment and parts are on hand as needed, and conserve maintenance resources by only using as needed.

    6. Maintain technical knowledge.

    7. Maintain continuity among team by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and our organizations continuing needs.

    8. Maintain a safe and clean working environment, by complying with rules, procedures, and regulations.
