STOCK CLERK (USATC-18-1594-F):

Bowhead seeks a Stock Clerk to perform a variety of tasks to assist in the Clothing Initial Issue Point clothing/footwear operations in support of the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) at Fort. Jackson, SC. The Stock Clerk receives, stores, and issues equipment,

materials, supplies, merchandise, or tools, and compiles stock records of items in stockroom or warehouse. Successful candidate(s) must possess knowledge and experience required to hold the position as outlined below.

Essential functions will include:

• Ability to sort and/or weigh incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices

• Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications, store articles in bins on floors or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size or type of material

• Has the capability to fill orders or issues supplies from stock

• Prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock, and requisitions articles to fill incoming orders

• Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes and refusal of shipments

• Ability to make adjustments or repairs to articles carried in stock, and may cut stock to fill order

Requirements

• High school Diploma or GED required

• Two (2) years of experience preferred

• Experience with the military Logistics Information Systems preferred

• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts

• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust Level (NACI). US Citizenship is a requirement for clearance at this location.
