This position is a Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) Human Resources Specialist (NAF), NF-0201-04 position with DLA HQ Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Human Resources Office

This position is a regular full-time (RFT) position, which guarantees 40 hours per week. Responsibilities

As a Human Resources Specialist (NAF), the incumbent is responsible for:Providing a full range of HR services for managers and employees:

  • Recruitment and placement, screening and rating applications, determining preference categories, creating and issuing referral lists, extending job offers, and ensuring selectees meet requirements for entrance on duty;
  • Advising management and employees on complex personnel issues; and
  • Monitoring and training junior graded and less experienced HR staff.

Position-specific Conditions of Employment

  1. Must be able to obtain and maintain a T3 (Secret) clearance.

General Conditions of Employment

Qualifications

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

At least two years of experience equivalent to the NF-03 grade level in a federal human resources office or equivalent practicing in at least two of the following functional human resources competencies: Staffing & Recruitment, Position Classification, Management Employee Relations, Labor Relations, or Training where I analyzed, evaluated and recommended appropriate resolutions to complex interrelated Human Resources problems and issues and conducted my work using a variety of human resources information systems.

The position has highly qualified criteria. Candidates who meet the highly qualified criteria may be referred before applicants who only meet the minimum qualifications. The highly qualified criteria for this position is:

In addition to the minimum qualifications in question 1 a minimum of 12 months experience working in a Department of Defense NAF Human Resources Office.
