This position is responsible for maintaining, repairing and building structures while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
This position is responsible for all construction work assigned at all Enid facilities. The desired candidate has a strong background in drywall, framing, concrete and finish work. Responsibilities include concrete work, carpentry work, metal work, welding, operate a forklift and tractor, painting and staining, floor coverings (carpet, tile and vinyl), and suspended ceiling systems . Other tasks in this position will be to stand, sit, bend, walk, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat and reach. The team member must be willing and able to lift, carry, push, pull 20-70 pounds. Candidate must be willing and able to work in the cold or heat (10 degrees below zero to 105 degrees) or damp environments and these areas may have slippery walking surfaces. Candidate must be able to work overtime and weekends. Candidate must be able to identify parts and supplies needed to complete job tasks. Candidate must have the ability to verbally communicate material effectively in a training environment. Must be able to read and understand manuals instructions. Must be able to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
Carpenter class 1 positions require at least 3 years of continuous work in the construction industry within the last 60 months.
