The diversity of our operations has recently created an opportunity for an Information Technology Financial Analyst at our Enfield, CT location. Reporting to the Senior Director, Information Services Governance & Strategy, the IT Financial Analyst supports the ongoing operation of the Brooks Brothers IT organization through budgeting, forecasting, and management of IT capital investments and operating expenses.

Accountabilities:

  • Assist IT management in the analysis of respective expenditures, by compiling and analyzing financial information for the organization

  • Collaborate with IT leaders to maintain and update capital and operating expense forecasts for their respective domains

  • Develop integrated budget to actual analyses, projections, reports and presentations

  • Partner with IT budget coordinator to identify and prioritize accounts payable activity for the IT organization

  • Partner with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team to accurately report and close IT accounting activity for each fiscal period

  • Review projects, budgets, invoices and contracts for reasonability and accuracy and make any necessary recommendations to senior management

  • Identify trends and developments in alignment with stakeholder expectations and presents findings to senior management

  • Identify, investigate, and resolve budgeting and billing discrepancies related to improper project accounting of costs, discrepancy in trends, incorrect coding or account setup

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize data into meaningful information that highlights trends, opportunities, and risks

  • Familiar with a variety of the IT financial management concepts, practices and procedures as it relates to the IT financial specialist function

  • Customer-focused approach to deliver on IT financial management services to internal customers

  • Strong relationship and interpersonal skills to be applied in collaborating within the IT team and in its cross-functional customers and stakeholders across the organization

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to produce spreadsheets, correspondences, reports and other documents

  • Flexible and adaptable to work in a dynamic environment

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools especially Excel, Powerpoint and Visio

  • Basic SAP Finance is a plus

  • Project management or coordination experience is a plus

Qualificitaions:

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in financial planning/management
