Job Description

A small IT solutions company in Ellenville is seeking a Python Developer-Cybersecurity Analyst to assist in the development and maintenance of applications which are designed to detect and deter criminal activity. The company works “hand in glove” with law enforcement to track down individuals who are engaging in illegal behavior. Applicants who have a background in developing in Python, cybersecurity protocols, and gaming would be most appropriate for the opening.


  • Create applications aligned to the company’s objective to decrease the amount of illegal activity on the web.

  • Test, maintain, and build out applications as needed.

  • Moderate work in a Postgres database adding additional data as the need arises.

  • Oversight of specific webpages to determine criminal activity (e.g. software piracy).

  • Collaborate with a team to assess risk and develop improvement strategies for security.

  • Create trouble tickets for alerts that signal an incident.

  • Due to a small office environment some light systems/network administration may be required.

Job Requirements


  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity preferred.

  • 3+ years of professional work experience.

  • Strong Python development skills

  • Ruby an added plus

  • Comfortable working in databases adding tables/views especially Postgres

  • Knowledge in cybersecurity protocols and ethical hacking strongly preferred
