A3 Technology is seeking a mid level Computer Scientist / Software Developer to work with the Communication, Flight Service, Weather and Engineering team that has experience in full software development life cycle, requirements analysis, design reviews, integration, testing, installation and maintenance of complex computer systems. This position provides expertise in software requirements analysis, design, design reviews, development, software testing, integration, installation and maintenance of systems and sub systems. This position also provides expertise in the development and improvement of software development processes and provides field support for complex computer systems.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Proficient use of C language in a Linux environment is required.

  • Ability to support software applications in Linux is required.

  • Provide expertise in updating and developing communication applications using TCP/IP and HDLC is required.

  • Ability to support system, developmental and integration testing is required.

  • Proficiency in Java, SQL, JavaScript, JSON and C++.

  • Provide expertise in updating and developing web applications including HTML, 5/XHTML.

  • Experience with C# in a windows environment.

  • Ability to develop and manage Linux shell scripts to automate testing and operations.

  • Must be willing to travel.

  • Must accommodate a flexible work schedule for second level support.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math or a Bachelor's degree in another technical field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and seven (7) years related work experience OR

  • Master's degree in any field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and five (5) year related work experience
