An Entry-Into-Service (EIS) organization was established in 2014 in the P&W Commercial Customer Service organization. The EIS team leads the entry into service initiatives for the Pratt & Whitney Geared Turbofan™ (GTF) programs to support customers for the more than 9,000 engines. The EIS Customer Readiness Team is responsible for enabling a high quality EIS readiness experience for all GTF customers. The team is a focal point for all Customer Fleet Directors / Field Offices to enable them to provide a robust EIS readiness experience to their airline customers. The Gated Customer Readiness Process begins 18 months prior to a customer’s EIS and is a disciplined approach to ensuring each customer is ready to operate their new GTF engines.

Deliverables for the position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Use business analytical tools to identify and create optimized process improvement programs for any recurring bottlenecks in the EIS Customer readiness process

  • Develop methodology to enable early detection of individual airline EIS risk

  • Develop creative business solutions to mitigate recurring, or anticipated, cross airline EIS risk

  • Analyze feedback from process stakeholders to strategically improve Service Readiness

The EIS Customer Readiness Intern will report to the EIS Customer Readiness Manager. Success metrics for the role will be centered on areas such as gap closure, process improvement, overall EIS readiness, customer satisfaction, responsiveness. This role will work closely with many other groups across P&W including the EIS Product Support Team, Customer Fleet Directors, Program Management Teams, Sales Directors, Spare Part Customer Materials Solutions, Advanced Engine Health Monitoring, Finance, and UTC Aerospace Systems. Customer travel may be included but would be less than 10%.

  • U.S. Citizenship required

Education:

Qualified candidates must be currently enrolled in a degree program (BS or MS) in any of the following disciplines: Engineering, Business or other related disciplines with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
