AT&T Senior-Tech Business Analysis in Dallas, Texas

The Business Analyst is responsible

and accountable for the successful definition of requirements across the

various software initiatives of the T.Data program. The role involves

working closely with the Product Managers to translate business

requirements into system requirements with sufficient detail and

definition that such requirements can be handed off to various delivery

teams following an agile process. The Business Analyst will support

T.Data architecture and development teams to provide additional clarity

of requirements as and when needed. The Business Analyst possesses a

core capability of how to write well-formed requirements as well as a

broad knowledge of telecommunications.


  • Works

with Product Managers to translate business requirements into system


  • Develops and manages requirements documentation that

defines key functional and non-functional requirements to achieve

program objectives.

  • Enter requirements into Rally with appropriate

detail so that these can be handed off to T.Data delivery teams

Writes requirements geared towards an agile development environment

specifically around use cases, user stories and scenarios/business


  • Works with architects to ensure requirements are adequately

incorporated into system design.

  • Supports architecture, delivery

teams and testing with enquiries about requirements

  • Works with

internal Product Manager and other AT&T program stakeholders to

achieve goals.

Qualifications / Skills

  • 5+ Years of experience of

business analysis work, 2+ Years in an agile environment

  • Strong

problem solving skills.

  • Experience of documenting system

requirements via Use Cases, User Stories and business rules.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex

principles to business users

  • Ability to balance competing demands

and reprioritize effectively.

  • Strong critical thinking in complex

situations with an ability to deal with ambiguity

  • Exceptional

interpersonal and analytical skills.

  • Knowledge of

telecommunications in either the sales, service or assurance areas

Knowledge of Agile Craft a plus

  • BS/BA in computer science,

engineering, or business.
