Emerson Hospital Physician Assistant EPA in Concord, Massachusetts

Job Summary The Physician Assistant provides evaluation and management to Orthopedic clinic patients. This work will be in collaboration with the supervising orthopedic physician involved in the patient's care. The supervising physician of record will be an Emerson Practice Associate (EPA) physician for purposes of establishing a collaboration agreement for licensure and prescribing status as well as periodic performance reviews. The degree of autonomy of the Physician Assistant's daily practice will depend on the details of each particular clinic and the preferences and skills of the PA. The PA works in accordance with Hospital privileges. Minimum Qualifications • Education o Completion of a Bachelor's Degree and graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program approved by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC_PA) are required. • Experience o Previous experience in an Orthopedic clinic environment strongly preferred. • Licensure and/or Certification o Current license as a Physician Assistant in Massachusetts required. o National certification as a Physician Assistant required (this is required for Massachusetts licensure). (PA-C) o BLS healthcare provider required. • Skills o Excellent customer service skills. o Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English. o Computer skills required. o Ability to maintain confidential information.
