Provides medically prescribed physical therapy services to inpatients and outpatients to restore function, prevent disability following injury or disease, and assist the patient in reaching their maximum capabilities while learning to live within the limits of their disability. This individual may practice limited physical therapy only under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Innovations improve work procedures and methods and primarily result in some time and cost savings. The job duties are to provide treatment care activities with patients, but do not involve invasive procedures.
Work occasionally requires internal contacts outside the work group to exchange work-related information. Contact with external contacts involves providing or getting factual information. Requires normal courtesy and tact in dealing with others.
40 hours per week

Rotation into weekend to assist coverage gaps as needed; not a set schedule.
Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program. Must possess current Physical Therapist Assistant license from the State of Maryland.
