This role can be based in any of the following locations: Chicago, IL; Washington, DC; New York, NY.
Consistently monitor and manage project scope, goals, deliverables, and progress to all stakeholders, from data collection, to processing, review and production.
Assist with planning and scheduling project timelines
Coordinate with project staff on project requirements and delivery timelines for processing and hosting tasks related to eDiscovery matters
Utilize MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint to document project requirements, procedures, quality control steps, and project statuses
Prepare internal and external client communications, both written and oral
Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
Perform quality control and assurance on client deliverables
Manage project budget and post fees as directed
Manage review workflow, including creation and tracking of review batches
Assist in developing and ensure compliance of standard operating procedures and training materials
Document issues and risks and report any inefficiencies or suggestions for improved process automation to supervisor
Generate consistent and thorough documentation to support processes executed throughout the project lifecycle. Specific tasks may include writing up interview notes and drafting emails, memorandum or reports that demonstrate specific processes followed.
Mentor new hires and consultant staff to assist with their growth and professional development within the organization.
Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, CIS, Accounting, Finance, Economics or Mathematics
3+ years of total experience including some prior experience as a project manager overseeing client needs and discovery deliveries
3+ years of experience with e-Discovery tools; The following tools are preferred: Relativity, Concordance, Clearwell, Lexis Nexis LAW, iPro, NUIX, and/or MindsEye Tunnel Vision
Advanced decision making and problem solving skills
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize responsibilities around intense deadlines for clients who work in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-driven, time-sensitive 24/7 industry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including proofreading and editing
Excellent customer service skills with individuals at all levels, both internal and external
Ability to interact confidently with senior management and lawyers/partners
Commitment to working collaboratively with project managers and eDiscovery management to meet and exceed client expectations
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Ability to work overtime as needed
Ability to travel, often with little notice
Experience in the consulting industry a plus
Frequently communicates with clients and coworkers and must be able to share information effectively
Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently
Flexibility and responsiveness in managing multiple projects in sometimes high-pressure situations simultaneously
Able to travel via airplane with minimal assistance to client sites across the US and potentially internationally
Usually remains stationary for the majority of the day
Regularly uses close visual acuity and operates computer equipment to prepare and analyze and transmit data
