Littelfuse Lead IT Business Analyst - IT in Chicago, Illinois

Reporting to the Director of Global IT Application Operations, Lead IT Business Analyst is responsible for Business Process Engineering. This role will collaborate with our cross functional business units and IT to evaluate new and existing business processes and systems. This position will work closely with our Director of Applications and Inside Sales Managers world-wide and Analytics functions to enable cross company processes and technology company-wide.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a partner and thought leader to the business by providing input to current and future process improvement and technology needs.

  • Understand various functions end to end within Business Process Engineering to identify process gaps, inefficiencies and areas for improvement.

  • Lead though influence to get work done across programs, business units and company-wide initiatives.

  • Establish collaborative working relations with stakeholders, including identifying business process owners and SME’s as needed.

  • Collaborate with the business in gathering requirements and develop functional documentation to address business needs.

  • Work with cross functional teams and internal users to resolve any data and system related issues.

  • Develop organizational, business, application and functional process knowledge.

  • Responsible for understanding business needs, process analysis, structured walkthroughs of the design and implementation of business processes and workflows.

  • Provide subject matter expertise in process design, reengineering and optimization.

  • Facilitating process mapping workshops with business and IT partners. Conduct data gathering and analysis to understand business requirements.

  • Utilizing continuous improvement tools when necessary.

  • Collaborate, identify and document existing business processes and workflows.

  • Collaborate, create and document future state business processes and workflows.

  • Lead translating business processes to business requirements and translating business processes to organizational change management initiatives.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MBA, Information Systems or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Business Process Management in a professional technology consulting, corporate MIS or software development environment.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communications skills with proven experience communicating effectively to the senior managers.

  • Aligning business strategy to functional and IT processes.

  • Creating and driving process identification, innovation, improvements, alignment and implementation across multiple organizations.

  • Web portal business process, security, development and trouble shooting.

  • Collaborating on designing and recommending governance structures and control frameworks for ongoing process innovation, data and information management; analyzing project, program and portfolio needs; balancing short-term results with long-term needs and the ability to offer incremental approaches to achieve strategic objectives.

  • Demonstrated experience translating complex and technical subject matter into business terms for individual end users.

  • Ability to advance ideas through different levels in the organization Intuitive and analytical skills.

  • Organized to handle multiple projects and priorities.

  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

  • Lean/Six Sigma certification.

  • Experience within a Business Process Management Organization.

  • Experience in the following business areas: R&D;, Sales and Marketing.
