Overview of Global Legal Technology Solutions:

The Global Legal Technology Solutions (“GLTS”) practice is part of Navigant’s Disputes, Forensics and Legal Technology segment, which assists corporations, government agencies, and their counsel in addressing event-driven issues associated with complex disputes, forensic accounting matters, global investigations, compliance, and data management. Specifically, GLTS delivers strategic solutions for its clients requiring in-depth or rapid-response analysis of large sets of structured and unstructured data. Within GLTS, the Structured Data Analytics team specializes in three core areas: (1) identifying, collecting, and aggregating disparate data sets from transactional databases, (2) developing innovative programmatic or automated solutions that address business problems, and (3) presenting the results of analytics through data visualization or other customized deliverables.


  • This role can be based in any of the following locations: New York, NY; Chicago, IL

  • Manage key facets of large engagements or multiple small engagements, including project scoping, budget preparation, work plan development, staff supervision, client interaction, and relationship building

  • Implement methods to extract and collect information from transactional databases, including documentation gathering, client IT interviews, and process testing

  • Design innovative approaches to solve data-related challenges

  • Prepare client deliverables, data visualizations, written analyses, and other presentations of work performed

  • Maintain organized and detailed documentation that captures assumptions, methodologies, and information sources

  • Lead internal and external meetings during project lifecycle to review results of work performed

  • Actively contribute to the growth and development of junior team members through technical trainings, formal feedback, informal mentorship, recruiting efforts, and culture building

  • Assist senior leaders with business development and marketing efforts

  • Maintain a professional image within the company and project the same to those outside of the company

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics

  • A minimum of 7 years of prior consulting experience or 10 years of relevant industry-specific experience in advanced data analytics

  • Technical qualifications:

  • Required – Advanced experience with SQL and/or Oracle

  • Preferred – Advanced understanding and/or experience with Pentaho, Tableau, Spotfire, VBA, C#, Python, PHP, R, SSIS, NoSQL/MongoDB, Hive/Hadoop

  • Ability to solve complex problems quickly and efficiently through the use of programming and technology

  • Ability to quickly learn and understand unfamiliar data systems, file types, and technologies

  • Prior experience managing a team in a fast-paced, multi-task environment

  • Ability to interface with team members and client personnel in demanding, deadline-driven situations

  • Flexibility with respect to assigned tasks and engagements due to challenging deadlines, changing deliverables, and evolving task priorities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Previous experience developing junior team members through technical trainings and mentorship

  • Strong work ethic, eagerness for continued development, and motivation to succeed

  • Willingness and flexibility to travel

  • Communicate frequently with co-workers as well as with managers to discern their needs, and be able to express themselves

  • Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

  • Flexibility and responsiveness in managing multiple projects in sometimes high-pressure situations simultaneously

  • Ability to direct and motivate members of your project teams

  • Able to travel via airplane with minimal assistance to client sites across the US and potentially internationally

  • Generally works in an office environment
