Job Description Summary:
The Department of Biological, Chemical and Physical Sciences seeking applicants for the position of Adjunct Lecturer in Chemistry for the Fall 2017 semester (August 28 – December 16).
The adjunct will teach Analytical Chemistry (Quantitative Analysis, CHEM 237) at the Schaumburg campus. The class is scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
A Master’s degree in chemistry or chemistry-related discipline is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Instructors must have the knowledge, skills and ability to provide quality instruction to RU students through well prepared classes, modern teaching methods, clear communications with students and fair assessment of learning in a supportive environment. Instructors should demonstrate mastery of the course content, familiarity with effective teaching strategies, and willingness to work cooperatively with other faculty teaching in the same course sequence.
A Ph.D or ABD, as well as teaching experience and substantive work experience in chemistry are preferred.
