The Legal Department supports the vision and values of Wells Fargo by providing expert, creative, cost-effective, and timely advice and services to all Wells Fargo businesses and support functions. The role requires a well-organized self-starter with strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills, who can successfully manage multiple responsibilities within a deadline-driven environment under the direction of an attorney. These responsibilities include: focused commercial lending transactional support (including some legal drafting); legal research regarding legal and regulatory issues impacting supported lines of business; assistance to operations centers relating to regulatory compliance; assistance with the maintenance of multiple loan document form sets and documentation platform systems, including monitoring, tracking and analyzing legislative changes across multiple states and implementing revisions and enhancements to the forms to address legislative changes; and assistance with collateral perfection, portfolio servicing and lien release matters. A successful candidate should be able to identify both specific and broad underlying issues in their areas of expertise and work independently on complex assignments without direct supervision.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of paralegal experience

  • 3+ years of focused practice in a concentrated area of law

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills

  • Paralegal certification may be required in some states
