The Services Governance Office (SGO) is an enterprise-wide service governance function established as a part of Operational Resiliency. The SGO works in partnership with the Lines of Business, Legal Entity Office, Resolution and Recovery Planning Office and multiple staff functions to provide governance of internal services across the company to ensure the continuity of Critical Services during a resolution period. The SGO is focused on the overall services governance, intercompany agreement maintenance, the program related to the maintenance of the enterprise service catalog, and the annual Recovery and Resolution Planning narrative development.

The Role:

The Operational Risk Consultant 4 will work as part of the Enterprise Intercompany Service Relationship Management team under the SGO - a fast-paced, high energy and entrepreneurial team, supporting numerous stakeholders across the globe. Overall, this role will support the end-to-end process relating to the initiation/modification of intercompany service requests, which includes gathering general, financial, and compliance data related to the requests, supporting the functional and/or regional risk reviews and appropriate approval of the requests, and delivering the finalized requests to Supply Chain Management (SCM) to execute the documentation required to support the intercompany service relationship.

To perform the tasks above, this role will be required to work collaboratively with Lines of Business, Legal Entity Office, Business Continuity Planning, Supply Chain, Third Party Risk Management, Enterprise Information Technology, Corporate Properties Group, the Law Department, Finance/Enterprise Cost, and Human Resources to facilitate the review and approval of intercompany service relationships, which will include inquiry resolution, training, and general facilitation of requests.

Additionally, this role will support driving awareness of the Services Governance Office mandates throughout the business via training, communications, and other change management efforts.

Additional responsibilities of the Operational Risk Consultant 4 include:

*Process Design and Improvement *

  • Identify, suggest and support the implementation of improvements to processes and technologies in place, focusing on holistic impacts to people, process and technologies

  • Prepare recommendations for implementation of new systems, procedures, or organizational changes.

  • Establish standards for measuring performance against process requirements.

  • Plan, contribute and support the development of complex systems and processes

Strategy Realization

  • Manage execution of personal tasks to ensure adherence to timelines and scope.

  • Develop materials and provide training to small and large groups, as needed.

  • Support the development, execution, and management of change management related initiates (training, communications planning, awareness efforts, etc.)

  • Collaborate and partner with other enterprise programs or initiatives to help advance the goals of those efforts while advancing the culture of operational excellence

  • Role will require minimal domestic business travel

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 6+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both

  • Financial services experience

  • Strong root cause analysis skills

  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability

  • Advanced facilitation skills

  • Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals

  • Superior project management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently

  • Change management experience

  • Advanced problem solving and technical troubleshooting capabilities
