Location: HS EMS - Chambersburg

Work Schedule: Days/Nights

Work Type: PART TIME (40hrs/biweekly)

JOB SUMMARY : Responsible for performing team-based care of the sick and injured in a leadership capacity and provides basic and advanced life support care to those requesting EMS response. The paramedic position is also responsible for coordination with local Fire/Rescue personnel in conducting joint Fire and EMS operations, for the care and maintenance of medical equipment and vehicles reporting repair needs to the appropriate individuals and for the accurate documentation of patient information and treatment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

•Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

•Current PA EMTP/PHRN certification

•Current and valid driver’s license for at least the last 3 years

•Eligible for Medical Command status within the region

•Computer literacy

•BCLS, ACLS and PALS certification

•EVOC or EVDT certification

•Clear criminal record

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : •ITLS or PHTLS preferred, required within one year of employment
