Associate, Agency Finance Insurance - Bethesda, MD

As an Associate, for the Agency Finance Team you will be responsible for monitoring insurance and related documents and making insurance disbursements for the Agency Finance portfolio of loans that are underwritten through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae (“GSE’s”). You'll also be responsible for providing information to internal (other LOB) and external (borrowers, insurance agents, third party providers, and the GSE’s) clients. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for identifying, researching, solving and/or responding to requests, inquiries, and problem situations in a timely manner.

  • Follows up with insurance agents & borrowers to obtain current proof of insurance.

  • Reviews insurance documentation in an assigned portfolio to ensure adherence to the GSE insurance requirements.

  • Performs follow up with insurance agents on outstanding documents and exceptions to bring coverage into compliance.

  • Identifies opportunities to improve processes to increase control and efficiency.

  • Responsible for performing his/her duties with limited supervision and has few errors

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least one year experience in a financial institution working with collateral

  • At least one year of experience working in banking or commercial real estate.

  • At least one year of experience with Microsoft & Google Suite

  • High school Diploma, GED or Military Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military or Insurance Experience

  • At least three years of experience in commercial or small business banking operations

  • At least one year of experience with GSE backed multifamily loans

  • At least one year of experience processing insurance disbursements.

  • Excel experience including the use of pivot tables and formulas
