Job Role and Responsibility:

This manager will lead a group of engineers focused on Kubernetes networking. This growing team focuses on all aspects of networking to support Kubernetes clusters, including interacting with the underlying IaaS to manage network resources, container networking, and integrations with service meshes. The ideal candidate must have a proven software development background with experience in the successful delivery of cloud services. The candidate must be highly technical and have project management expertise.

  • Work with product management and other stakeholders to gather requirements.

  • Contribute to architecture and technical design of a high-quality cloud service.

  • Lead engineering execution through all phases of our agile service development lifecycle.

  • Recruit, evaluate, mentor and organize a team of engineers to accomplish specific goals in support of business objectives.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in managing and leading a team of software engineers.

  • Practical experience developing and running a service in a public cloud.

  • Understanding of distributed computing systems.

  • Experience with Kubernetes and familiarity with microservice architectures.

  • Excellent presentation, interaction and communication skills along with the ability to collaborate effectively between teams. Should be comfortable presenting to other managers, architects, stakeholders, and customers.

  • 8+ years of industry experience.

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
