Company Job ID-492097501A1 Requisition Summary This position is located at PACCAR's global headquarters in downtown Bellevue, Washington, and provides an exciting opportunity to support the strategic direction of PACCAR by developing and applying analytical models that identify and quantify risk in PACCAR's global portfolio of financial products. As an analyst within the Portfolio Risk and Analysis Group, you will provide analytically sound risk models that inform credit decisions by PACCAR's finance organizations in Europe, North America, Latin America, and Australia, as well as senior management and company executives. You will utilize your educational and work experience to drive new projects and improvements to existing processes. Success in this role will hinge on your curiosity, grit, ability to work well in ambiguity, a passion for learning, and adept presentation skills. Job Functions / Responsibilities Develop and evaluate predictive analytics models of credit risk and portfolio performance. Validate, analyze and explain the data used for model development. This should include variance reporting, sensitivity analysis, and outlier/anomaly detection. Manage and document the full lifecycle of analytic projects. Work with other divisions to develop globally consistent credit scorecards and risk models. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance data analysis and modeling capabilities; increasing the speed, accuracy and efficiency of our work. Provide accurate, relevant and meaningful analysis to management to support strategic and tactical decision-making. Conduct quick-turn analysis to support emerging business decision-making requirements. Effectively communicate analytic results that demonstrate business impacts. Confidently present analytic results to senior managers and executives. Skills / Competencies Required Skills: Strong foundation in statistical techniques and modeling including: binary logistic regression, Chi-squared testing, stepwise regression, ROC curves and other statistical methods. Substantive experience with data analysis. Strong data gathering, analyzing, interpreting, and problem solving skills. Proficiency with SQL querying expected within 2 months. Must be a highly motivated self-directed learner with a creative mind and high attention to detail. Excellent general business acumen, with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex topics. Ability to maintain balance between solid “pragmatism” and “scientific rigor” to meet the needs of a dynamic business. Preferred Skills: Experience with programming in statistical programing languages (R and/or Python). Knowledge of financial statements. Exposure to modeling credit risk. Experience with, or understanding of, neural networks or other machine learning algorithms.
