Senior Experience Designer
Location: Kitchener, Ontario, Canada
We are a world-wide team of designers and researchers pursuing innovative ways of building user-centered solutions that can scale over time.
We practice design thinking and iteratively craft our solutions based on customer research and testing
We practice agile methodologies, preceded by research, design and planning phases
We move fast but take the time to innovate, brainstorm, and explore
We feel the best solutions usually come from highly collaborative teams
We move forward by bridging experience design with product management and engineering at every step of the process.
We have built an engaging environment at our office in downtown Kitchener, where everyone is willing to share the experience and knowledge of their role to improve the experience for our customers.
What We’re Looking For
Netsuite is seeking a creative problem solver who is a team player and self-starter to join our team. You will partner with product management, researchers, and development to understand the user and business needs and turn those into unique, effective experiences.
You will build relationships not only internally with product and design teams but also externally with our customers and their users. You will find ways to delight the user base through better interactions, improved workflows, and relevant insights.
You will work closely with your teams, and should love to share, brainstorm, and collaborate. But, you will also manage your own projects and time in an efficient manner. You’ll help product management and others know what they need from the experience team and negotiate with them to make sure the best plan is in place.
You will approach your challenges with empathy for the user and excitement to solve a complicated problem. And, you’ll provide well-thought-out design deliverables to insure solid visual communication with your internal stakeholders.
What You’ll Do

Work with a multi-disciplined UX team of designers, user researchers and product managers in a fast-paced, dynamic, agile environment.
Produce high-quality design deliverables that communicate design solutions and facilitate discussion.
Present design alternatives while effectively communicating rationale and trade-offs.
Share your work and be open to collaborative, constructive feedback that leads to meaningful iteration.
Manage and prioritize multiple projects of varying timelines, degrees of complexity and scope.
Create non-formulaic solutions and different approaches to varied challenges.
Keep communication flowing by bringing feedback from customers to the team and taking team questions back to customers.
Be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects of varying timelines, degrees of complexity and scope.
Be a champion in teamwork and collaboration both among project and design team members.
Handle a wide range of complex design challenges.
Degree in Product/Industrial Design, Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 5 years working in the field of UX/UI design, OR 2-3 years’ experience with an advanced HCI/Design degree.
Ability to manage and monitor your own projects; we need a self-starter who can take a bit of directional input and then take off.
Online portfolio demonstrating experience producing sketches, wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, task-flows or relevant design artifacts.
A positive and resilient personality. You must be able to embrace feedback and have a desire for continuous iteration and improvement.
An analytical and strategic mindset; we favor that over pixel-perfect visual skills.
Excellent communication skills; office and company language is English.
