::Looking for an experienced ASIC chip/digital design engineer for AIS IC development group to design, simulate, optimize and validate complex ICs for automotive products. The candidate must be an excellent team player, self-motivated, and able to work with broad cross-functional teams. As a member of the digital design team, the candidate will participate in all aspects of the design, verification and validation process. The candidate will also be responsible for leading IC design projects, managing the project and the team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary with the ability to work with a global team and willing to travel.

Job Description

  • Take ownership of functional blocks and contribute through various phases of the ASIC design process – Architecture, RTL design, verification, synthesis.

  • Ownership of projects and lead a project from conception to production, including managing resources, priorities risks and schedule for the project

  • Participate in chip level integration for mixed-signal automotive ICs on tasks such as mixed signal simulation, scan insertion, back annotation and timing closure.

  • Interface with and support cross functional teams such as marketing, applications, product and test engineering, Physical Design and other design organizations.

  • Work in the lab for post silicon bring-up, support product validation and ATE test development. Debug silicon when needed.

  • Mentoring and managing of other engineers

  • Interface and work/manage global resources. Will include some travel.

Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • BSEE/MSEE with minimum 12 years of experience in IC digital design. Must have worked on multiple IC’s, taped-out and in production.

  • Experience in managing teams and project management are a strong positive

  • Must be proficient in design flow such as micro-architecture, RTL coding, debugging, simulation, clocks and constraints for synthesis and static timing analysis (STA).

  • Able to write C and Assembly code based tests to verify SoC functionality.

  • Able to run formal verification/equivalence checking, Linting and CDC checking.

  • Have scripting and automation skills - Linux shell scripting, Perl, Tcl, Makefile and revision management ( etc)

  • Knowledge on verification OVM/UVM and code coverage is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
