LMI Aerospace Assembler in Auburn, Washington


Primary functions would be drilling and deburring parts to ready for assembly, assembly of component parts including attaching parts together by installing ground studs, attaching nutplates or bonding. In all actions, supports LMI's Quality Policy, Mission Statement and other LMI policies and procedures by supporting our commitment to total customer satisfaction, quality products and services, lean processes, continuous improvement, on-time delivery, safety, teaming, individual accountability and respect for people.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Learn and understand equipment; Drill motor, drill press, hand squeeze, bucking gun and dotco.

  • Read and understand work orders.

  • Basic blue print reading.

  • Setup and run equipment; drill assembly tooling.

  • Understand specifications parts are made to customer specifications and blue prints.

  • Understand team work, JIT, and line balancing.

  • Use tools and methods to ensure quality.

  • May be required to use a respirator.

  • To know, understand and follow all job tools available and applicable to the job and plant including QAP's, work instructions, etc.

  • Understanding of process flows, lead times and lean principles in mfg. environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.


Basic mechanical aptitude to put together work instructions and to assemble parts.

Must be able to effectively communicate with team members on a regular basis.

Prior experience with blueprints and precision measuring devices a plus.

Education and/or Experience

Must have a high school diploma or general education diploma.

Other Qualifications

Ability to work overtime including weekends and holidays as needed.
