The Ethicon Surgical Care business offers a broad range of products, platforms and technologies—including sutures, surgical staplers, clip appliers, trocars and synthetic mesh devices—that are used in a wide variety of minimally invasive and open surgical procedures. Specialties include support for treatment of colorectal and thoracic conditions, women’s health conditions, hernias, cancer and obesity.

As a Network Planner, you will:

  • Work with the Capacity and Supply Planners to identify proper allocation of scarce raw materials.

  • Data retrieval, reporting and analyzing supply planning metrics to achieve a high level of customer service.

  • Manage and update department metrics. Monitor inventory and report backorder status to management.

  • Ensure manufacturing orders are reflective of current demand.

  • Partner with distribution team on shipping priorities utilizing the Deployment Model.

  • Create POs in Ariba for non-BOM chemicals used within the Cornelia site.

  • Monitor inventory levels and place discrete POs. Resolve payment issues.

  • Responsible for NCR or NC, requests for vendor return authorizations. Request copies of missing paperwork – COA, BOL, etc.

  • This individual will also be responsible for creating Item Change Orders (ICOs) necessary to support planned events/base business, Bill of Material (BOM) accuracy and for managing/mapping capacity within the Advanced Planning System.

  • Ensure planned events (conversion/transfers) affecting production do not impact customer service or inventory goals. Participate in and support the GOALS and Sales and Operations Planning processes.

  • Provide PSIs and Customer Service Communications.

  • Provide information as necessary to track/trend customer service, inventory and performance metrics.

  • Support the Supply Planner to manage the North American Manufacturing Raw Material Supply Planning process across several raw material manufacturing sites.

  • Analyze product demand, sales pattern, forecast, production specifications and plant capacity data. Identify raw material and component requirements for production from engineering and production specifications.

  • Establish effective communication with various groups such as customers, sales offices and plant production departments and monitors orders from start to finish to ensure the on-time delivery of products.

  • Lead projects and coordinate cross-functional project teams, as required.

  • Monitor and anticipate production issues due to new product launches. Analyze and prepare production reports and develops PSIs.

  • Gather month-end volume data and enter in various SharePoint sites. Support Business Planning Process and monthly Goals and Sales and Operations Planning renewals.

  • Effectively summarize and communicate business issues to senior leadership and influence tactical base business decisions.

  • Follow current compliance regulations and standards that comply with all federal regulated programs.

  • Responsible for verification of approved suppliers for indirect material purchase orders within Ariba.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.

  • A minimum of 2 years of related experience is required.

  • Advanced computer and database management skills is required.

  • Experience with Excel is required.

  • Experience with JDE & Minitab is preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal relation skills is required.

  • Proven statistical and analytical problem-solving skills are required.

  • Experience with Six Sigma / LEAN / Process Excellence tools and/or certifications are preferred.

  • Understanding of ETHICON Change Control and associated Materials Management document change processes is preferred.

  • Understanding of Change Integration Process is preferred.

  • Ability to work in stressful/fast paced environment.

  • Ability to work and interact with co-workers to accomplish company goals in a team environment.

  • This role is based in Cornelia, GA or Athens, GA and may require up to 5% domestic travel.
