Senior Process Development Engineer About the role: * This experienced engineer will work on product and process development to lead the design and commercialization of new cutting edge technology at our Arden Hills facility. * The candidate must have a desire to utilize their skills to solve technical/complex problems in a hands-on manner, working in a fast paced environment, and across multiple functions in a global company. * The successful candidate for this position will provide strong leadership and problem solving to enable medical device innovation. * Use your technical and collaboration skills alongside your passion for innovation and continuous improvement to drive growth through efficient and effective commercialization of new products and targeted improvements. * This position offers the opportunity to support process development and product commercialization throughout Boston s global plant network. * Works cross-functionally to develop capable process and complex technologies on new products and ensures efficient and effective transfer of product into production Your responsibilities include: * Assesses process capabilities, prioritizes process improvement opportunities, and innovates and implements process improvements on multiple and moderately complex processes. * Applies technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop processes, procedures, tooling and/or automation. * Executes the functional deliverables associated with the PDP/TDP, Project Management, and Quality Systems. * Prepares and presents technical data and recommendations at technical reviews. * Writes validation protocols and reports applicable to new processes. * Ensures proper documentation is completed to meet quality systems requirements. (e.g., BOM s, Routers, FMEA s, etc.) * Oversees development builds associated with the project using special work requests. * Develops qualified production lines. * Provides Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to the engineering print package. * Contributes ideas to or generates Intellectual Property submissions. * May serve as a core team lead or extended team member on new development projects. * Possibly supervisor and/or mentor engineers with the team. What we re looking for: Minimum Qualifications * BS in Engineering or Chemistry and 5+ years of experience * Demonstrated use of DFSS tools (DOE, problem solving) * 5+ years of demonstrated process development / improvement activities * Demonstrated cross functional teamwork in technically demanding environment * Demonstrated ability to develop processes from concept to production * Open to occasional travel of up to 25% of their time. Preferred Qualifications * Mechanical, Chemical or BioMedical Engineer * Highly motivated individual that can independently drive deliverables to completion through collaboration among team members. * Demonstrated ability to develop and drive innovative solutions into processes and products. * Understanding of DFM, medical device design control / quality systems and the product development process (PLCP). * Medical Device Design experience; new product development * Knowled
