Bayer Compliance Senior Data Analyst in Whippany, New Jersey
Your tasks and responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role, Compliance Senior Data Analyst are to:
Apply knowledge of Bayer internal Policies and Procedures, Code of Conduct, Bayer Operating Procedures and Government Reporting Requirements to data collection and remediation for government transparency disclosure;
Vendor data / source system data: utilize knowledge of sources and data vendor processes and their impact on Compliance Operations workflow and reporting (i.e. Lexus/Nexus MDM and Expense Manager Aggregate Spend tool, FADb, etc.);
Data evaluation: analyze data from various systems and automated tools to ensure 1) data content qualifies as specific covered recipients and 2) contains all appropriate data points required for various government reporting templates;
Report on data gaps/anomalies, determine root cause, and seek out solutions utilizing available resources. Be able to provide concise, topline findings to management for up-escalation purposes;
Fully document all findings on the appropriate template or shared documents so that workflow is transparent to the team, and not interrupted or duplicated;
Be able to present a summary of data metrics, findings and trends observed to team members with appropriate supporting documentation;
Extract data from various source systems and prepare and analyze transactional data in order to determine applicability for all types of government reporting;
Additional departmental functions to be assigned by management as necessary.
Who you are
Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
B.A./B.S. Business, Analytics, Computer Science or other related field; 6 plus years of business experience;
5 plus years of Relational Database skills (preferably Teradata) and Structured Query Language (SQL) including analytic functions;
Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry or similar highly regulated industries;
Advanced documentation and problem solving skills;
Must have the ability to understand, analyze and coordinate Compliance requirements within complex data transactions;
Proficient in Microsoft applications especially Excel pivot tables and formulas;
Proven track record in organizational ability, meeting deadlines, communicating with business partners;
Ability to interact with personnel in various departments and levels across Bayer Health Care;
Strong analytical skills are necessary to apply regulatory requirements to data collection and reporting.
3-5 years of data systems experience in SAP, Concur T&E, Master Data Management or similar applications. Knowledge of Tableau or similar reporting tools is a plus;
Knowledge of HealthCare Compliance and Aggregate Spend Reporting a plus.
