PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Assists in development and drives, promotes and implements the corporate wide diversity strategies, including projects, programs and strategic initiatives. Through communication, education and other support, assists in developing diversity competency and effective diversity leadership skills in all business units and departments pertaining to diverse workforce representation, inclusive work environment, leadership and external relationships.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Assist in developing and driving strategic initiatives, programs, projects, systems and processes for the corporation in support of the overall diversity and inclusion strategy and goals.
Provide direction and implementation support to business executives and managers, diversity councils and employee resource groups.
Implement the communication strategy to successfully leverage programs and initiatives.
Develop and implement diversity and inclusion education resources for leaders, facilitate workshops and discussions.
Research and recommend “best practices” based on organization assessments and external research and experience with appropriate measurements to track efforts and accomplishments
Support external outreach to the community at large promoting the company’s diversity and inclusion efforts.
Supervises at least one individual.
This position drives corporate diversity strategies through strategic partnerships with business units, business leadership, diversity councils, ad hoc project teams and the employee resource groups.
Focus is on leadership, continuous learning, taking initiative, decision-making, sound judgment, analytical thinking, persuasion, communication and project management.
Reports to Vice President
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business or related field.
A minimum of 10 or more years of general human resources and change management experience.
Demonstrated implementation of diversity and inclusion principles and practices.
Specialized and extensive knowledge of the principles, laws and requirements of Federal equal employment opportunity and civil rights.
Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management, establish trust, build consensus and communicate effectively.
Ability to facilitate group discussion and lead diversity and inclusion training
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong project management and presentation skills
This position requires 50% travel
Experience leading a program/project management team
Understanding of data and analytics
