Job Overview

Under the direction of the Sr. International Marketing Manager, the incumbent develops and implements sales and marketing programs for the CMF product line; this will include developing and analyzing sales reports to provide market trends, providing support to both internal and external sales staff and establishing optimum levels of inventory within the respective portfolio. This individual must serve as a contributing member of the Marketing team while championing Stryker’s Vision and Mission.


Individual Responsibilities:

• Proactively collaborates with internal teams/departments to promote a culture of inclusiveness and cooperation

Functional Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a complete marketing program for the successful introduction, marketing and sale of CMF products including national product launches, product phase out plans and product support and maintenance

• Establish, monitor and manage product life cycles (forecasting) and set minimum and maximum levels for products within portfolio

• Represent the specific portfolio at regional, national and international conferences, meetings and symposia

• Develop strategic business plans to respond to trends and provide recommendations to grow the portfolio

• Provide support to the sales force through product information, case coverage, troubleshooting, assistance with product information sessions, promotion of new products, nurse in-servicing and surgeon meetings

• Manage the development and distribution of marketing materials and promotions for the portfolio and curriculum for educational initiatives

• Provide support and pricing approvals for RFPs including recommendations for price points, product selections for tenders and set configurations

• Maintain price list

• Assist in the preparation of RFP submissions with the RFP Coordinators

• Lead portfolio related product presentations and training sessions for Canadian sales team

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral

• Strong presentation skills

• A fundamental knowledge of marketing and promotions

• A strong comfort level in a clinical setting (operating rooms, hospitals, etc.)

• Ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines

• Ability to learn new concepts and apply them in a functional setting

• Ability to consistently produce accurate, professional work

• Ability to travel (up to 30% of the time)

• Self-starter with the ability to show significant initiative in problem resolution

• High energy level with strong people skills and a positive attitude

• Good rapport with internal stakeholders and external sales force

• Ability to thrive in a high intensity environment

Education & Qualifications

• University Degree (Preferably in Sciences/Kinesiology and/or Business or Marketing)

• 2-5 years in Marketing. Sales experience also an asset

• Medical background or experience an asset

• Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and performance over time at Stryker will be considered
