Staples Mgr Field Marketing in United States

Position Summary: The Field Marketing Manager East is responsible for driving sales in the Eastern regions by serving as the strategic marketing lead and proactively creating marketing initiatives that support the continued growth and profitability of regional customers and prospects. This position works closely with both Sales Account Management and Business Development teams to identify and target market segment and customer/prospect specific marketing programs that will effectively drive acquisitions, sales, and profit. This individual draws on marketing experience in order to act independently, convene resources, arrive at solutions, execute, manage details and manage multiple projects and priorities. This person will also manage, mentor and develop a team of 2-3 Field Marketing Consultants in the East region.

Responsibilities: • Establish Field Marketing as a strategic consultant and marketing resource for the region. • Work with Sales Management and Business Development teams to identify and create regional and customer/prospect specific marketing programs that will effectively drive acquisitions, sales, and profit. • Serve as the “voice of the customer” at all times by understanding their needs and concerns and communicating those to Sales and Corporate teams • Strategize and create marketing initiatives that support the continued growth of eCommerce offerings, full product category and services adoption, customer implementations, and program compliance. • Ensure that centrally-developed marketing programs are meeting customer, Sales force, and Business Development needs and driving sales and customer acquisition. • Communicate customer and Sales feedback to Corporate Marketing for the purpose of improving future programs. • Educate Sales organization on all corporate and regional marketing initiatives and tools that will enhance their ability to achieve annual Staples Business Advantage sales objectives. • Present marketing plans, and participate in business reviews with customers and prospects • Set priorities and expected deliverables to achieve these goals. • Measure results and report on marketing campaigns and activities of the team • Mentor, manage and develop 2-3 Field Marketing Consultants • Manage regional budget for customer events and other expenses

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years Marketing or Sales experience, preferably B2B • Management experience with small teams of direct reports • Proven ability to work with Senior Management • Must be able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment • Must have exceptional presentation and written skills • Excellent analytical and communication skills required • Ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously and independently • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, highly motivated • Willingness to travel 30% of time to cover geography of assigned sales region • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Marketing • Proficiency in MS Office required ; MS Access and other desktop software a plus
