Sutter Health Staff Nurse II - Labor & Delivery (Solano, 72.0 Hour, Night Shift) in Vallejo, California

Serving the residents of southern Solano County, including the communities of Vallejo, Benicia and American Canyon, Sutter Solano Medical Center offers 111 licensed beds and delivers a wide range of technologically advanced inpatient and outpatient services. These include 24-hour emergency services, critical and transitional care, surgery, diagnostic imaging, cardiac, obstetrics and physical, occupational and speech therapy. POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for providing direct patient care to specific patient populations effectively using the nursing process - Assessment, Planning, Implementation & Continual Reassessment - as the foundation for care delivery. Serves as a patient advocate; effectively coordinates care and continually promotes safety and clinical / service quality in daily practice.

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education/ Knowledge, including Licensure/ Certification/ Registration

Registered Nurse licensed by the California Board of Registered Nursing.

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Current BLS required.

Family Birth Center: ACLS required. NRP required. Fetal Monitoring required.

Experience

Lactation support/consultation experience highly desired.Previous work experience as an Labor & Delivery/Birthing Center RN in an acute care hospital highly desired. Scrubbing for cesarean section (C-section) is highly desired.

Skills

Independently practices and prioritizes multiple demands in an ever changing environment. Requires excellent critical thinking, communication skills, relationship skills, and clinical / technical expertise in area of specialty.
