Clinical Specialist - Austin South (Job Number: 161812)
The key responsibilities of this position include promoting Hologic’s surgical product lines through the education of current and potential customers, providing them with clinical education and technical support in an effort to provide world class service to our customers. This position will encompass case coverage, customer follow-up, support, troubleshooting, customer service and education for Hologic’s surgical products.
The Clinical Specialist will support surgical cases and educate physicians, clinicians, and OR staff on Hologic GYN Products. Other responsibilities include:
Collaborating effectively with Territory Manager in helping to build existing and new business by driving utilization and account independence.
Providing clinical expertise to drive company revenue goals
Uncovering potential business opportunities
Remaining current on Hologic’s products, services and competitive landscape
Strategically planning the week, month, quarter to target and implement a plan to insulate and grow business to meet corporate revenue goals
Educating through case coverage, in-services and office calls to drive account independence
Building professional relationships with physicians and other medical personnel by attending Medication Education programs, Journal Clubs, Residency programs and other events related to role
Attending internal/external education meetings and utilizing Hologic approved professional journals to maintain and enhance skills and clinical competency
Organization of customer data which includes consistent entering of daily activities such as case coverage and product education events into Hologic’s customer management application
Building on short term activity to drive broader value for customers
This is a field position and will require daily travel within your assigned territory. Periodic overnight travel.
Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate by management and as business dynamics change.
5+ years of clinical experience preferably in a clinical environment
Effective communication skills, including ability to interact with medical staff, sales, marketing and global franchise leaders
Adept at connecting to a wide range of individuals and networking with the intent of growing business
Must be able to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Effective teaching skills with ability to translate complex instructions clearly
Ability to be highly adaptable to complexity and change with accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
Ability to analyze and recommend changes to training documents as well as constructing effective training programs
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
