SUMMARY

Freeman is seeking an Experience Designer to be responsible for conceptual development through final design and execution of face-to-face marketing experiences - including theatrical sets, audio and video materials, and gatherings – primarily for expositions, conventions, exhibit programs, meetings and events. As part of a cross-functional team, this position will efficiently conceptualize and visualize scenic and production elements for live events. This position has regular interaction with clients, sales executives and production professionals. The Experience Designer will work on multiple projects under tight deadlines. Additional duties include:

  • Responsible and accountable for creative projects as defined by Freeman Audio Visual, including overall quality, feasibility, and timeliness of each assignment.

  • Utilize the appropriate (team-adopted) software programs to develop both presentation and executional materials; which may include: rendered and detail construction drawings; record dimensions and generate precise material schedules for project estimation and/or assembly, as well as printed, video, audio, animated and other deliverables.

  • Communicate effectively with project team to efficiently deliver the end result.

  • Collaborate to solve client objectives through smart design solutions.

  • Recognize and proactively resolve problems relating to the final execution.

  • Prioritize with supervisor and scheduler to execute project assignments.

  • Work to ensure the ‘project vision’ falls in line with client objectives, from budget evaluation and concept development through the presentation of design solutions to senior management.

  • Balance multiple projects in a deadline driven environment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum four (4) + years equivalent work experience in specific design discipline associated with role.

  • Experience in live event design and production.

  • Proficient in 3D/structural design principals.

  • Proficient in Autodesk 3D Studio Max and Adobe CS.

  • Ability to multitask, and handle multiple projects at one time.

  • Work within a collaborative team environment.

  • Ability to communicate and present ideas and concepts including floor plans, sketches, photos/ story boards, renderings to others involved in the production

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree
