12896: Test Engineer Air Crew Mission Planning
Location: Florida, Shalimar
MacB seeks support for testing of mission planning and support systems.
The employee shall develop, maintain, and execute test plans for Air Force Mission Planning System and Follow-On OT&E, and Force Development Evaluation, including the development of test methodology and support software - Air Force Mission Planning Systems (MPS) including: Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS), Portable Flight Planning Software (PFPS) and Unix-Based MPS.
The employee will draft and execute test plans under a USAF-appointed Project Manager, and prepare an Operational Assessment (OA), Early Operational Assessment (EOA), Concept of Test Brief (COTB), Joint Charters, OSD briefs, Combined Readiness Reviews (CRR), Status Reports (SR), and Release Recommendations (RR)
The employee will provide test item configuration control functions over software, hardware, and documentation and will provide and maintain data for internal and test management systems - The employee will work with Platform Integration (PI), Flight Performance Model (FPM), and Take-off and Landing Data (TOLD)
?Air Force Mission Planning Systems (MPS) include: Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS), Portable Flight Planning Software (PFPS), Life Cycle Upgrade, and support for a variety of aircraft including, but not limited to: the A-10, B-1, B-2, B-52, F-15, F-16, F-22, F-35, E-3, E-4B, E-8, MQ1, MQ9, RQ4, RC-135, HC-130, EC-130, HH-60, U-2, C-17, C-130, Global Hawk, Predator, and other platforms as tasked.
This contract requires travel to test locations at Government direction, creation of Requests for Tasking and Support, Software Release Recommendations, Final Reports (FREP), Test Analysis, and collaborative work with other test agencies such as software developers, developmental test organizations and the entire Mission Planning Enterprise.
- Aircrew flight or ground test experience
- Recent flight experience (fighter or bomber preferred)
- Knowledge of, and experience using, aviation mission planning systems
- Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field (i.e., Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.) (preferred)
- Secret security clearance
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
