Wealth Actuarial Associate (Exam Track)


The Actuarial Associate will be responsible to work as part of a team on all phases of actuarial valuations, pension calculations and government filings.

Duties and Responsibilities

• With supervision:

• Prepare and deliver accurate valuation data

• Understand benefit formulas and apply techniques for calculation of results

• Assist in the completion of actuarial valuations

• Assist in the preparation of letters, reports and government filings

• Complete special projects and assignments as instructed by your supervisor/manager

• Interact with colleagues in both Fort Wayne and remote offices to complete team projects

• Participate actively in learning programs offered through Buck Consultants University

• Progress through exams to obtain credentials at a satisfactory pace

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Math, Actuarial Science, Business or Economics degree or equivalent to demonstrate strong analytical skills

• Minimum 3.0 grade point average

• Excellent verbal and writing skills to document work and communicate with colleagues

• Strong organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Training Experience

Prefer successful completion of 2 SOA exams and 1 completed internship
