Product Manager (Job Number: 161790)



This Product Manager position will be an integral member of our marketing team. He/she will be responsible for managing marketing programs and strategies of a molecular diagnostic product line. The successful candidate will be experienced with knowledge of customer workflows, the diagnostic marketplace, and the ability to drive implementation of various downstream tactics and strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as the internal product leader- representing voice of customer and interests of the business when dealing with key internal stakeholders such as operations, quality, regulatory, finance and sales.

  • Be recognized as a critical resource for the field sales team in interpreting clinical data, guidelines, product benefits and competitive positioning.

  • Develop keen understanding of relevant clinical data and lead teams in refining product positioning and developing key messages for customers.

  • Develop and monitor key product performance metrics

  • Manage and drive all go-to-market activities around new product introductions

  • Establish relationships with key customers to develop advocates and educate influential leaders on product performance.

  • Oversee product lifecycle process, drive product level changes and communicate those changes to internal teams and customers

  • Provide forecasting input including market segment plans and resulting demand

  • Update and maintain product and market condition assumptions Development of marketing plans for assigned products

  • Assist in development of positioning and messaging in support of product strategy

  • Work intimately with customers and field sales to understand potential product enhancements and modifications

  • Monitor and communicate competitive activity and market trends as well as formulating strategic responses

  • Work closely with sales training to assist in development and delivery of content

  • Represent marketing on core teams to ensure business and customer requirements are incorporated into the product development process

  • Understanding of clinical diagnostic marketplace and customers

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Strong analytical skills from both a marketing and financial standpoint.

  • Entrepreneurial work ethic. Self-starter with a can-do attitude.

  • BA or BS

  • MBA preferred


  • 3-5 years product management and/or marketing experience in medical device, diagnostics, or laboratory environment required.

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to approximately 20% of the time, including some international travel, is needed.

Sedentary work involves sitting the majority of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally
