Provides day to day management of the Internal Audit assurance and advisory functions in determining whether the organization's risk management, control, and governance processes, as designed and represented by management, are adequate and functioning appropriately.

Minimum Qualifications Required

Education:. Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred. Accounting, Business, Finance or other business major preferred.

Experience: Eight years minimum internal audit experience (healthcare preferred). Prior management experience in internal audit or a related field of at least three years required.

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) required upon hire or within 1 year of hire.

Other Minimum Qualifications:. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to forge and maintain relationships. Collaborative problem solving skills and ability to promote a favorable client service approach while maintaining the interests of Carilion as a whole. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Must be a detail-oriented, well-organized critical thinker with strong analytical skills. Must work within time constraints, manage multiple priorities.
