The Sr. Programmer Analyst is responsible for the integrity, quality, deployment and maintenance of promotional websites, back end systems, enterprise service bus and related digital marketing projects. The individual will collaborate with internal and external resources on selected web projects from concept through execution and daily maintenance. Reports to the Manager, Web and Software Development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administer, provide training for, and maintain Thomson online marketing systems globally.

  • Administer projects, tasks and collaborative functions for troubleshooting problems and maintaining related documentation, providing/overseeing development of Thomson web editing and programming projects.

  • Coordinate system integrations, infrastructure and maintenance of Fortive Automation IT to sustain functionality of Thomson online systems within company security guidelines.

  • Administer and maintain online media.

  • BS degree in Information Systems or Computer Engineering/Science or equivalent experience.

  • 10 years experience in software development projects related to online internet communications, web management and associated technologies.

  • Understanding and application of internet server system technologies including content management and delivery systems.

  • ASP.NET MVC (Core preferable) C#

  • Development of RESTful web services, JSON, XML

  • Fundamental SQL server management including strong T-SQL skills.

  • Website administration, management & development skills (webmaster level).

  • Familiar with html, JavaScript, JQuery and CSSS and related web interface development techniques.

  • Ability to seek out and organize all technical data necessary for the development of technical communications from disparate engineering, marketing and customer resources.

  • Mechanical engineering experience and high level of understanding of electromechanical motion control products helpful but not required.

  • Strong information management and system architecture skills.

  • Intuitive, fact-based problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to lead, follow and collaborate successfully in a fast-paced matrix environment spanning multiple geographies and cultural backgrounds at all organizational levels.

  • Familiar with working in Agile and traditional ("waterfall") project management environments.
