Dresser-Rand SCM Analyst in Pune, India

Position Overview/Summary

Lead and coordinate the bid tab analysis and management reporting for MBO, AUX systems and Packaging in a manner that is consistent with Company policies and performance goals.

Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred)

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Science or Engineering or its equivalent

  • 1-2 years of experience within function or industry.

  • Previous experience in reporting, analyzing SCM data.

  • Ability to take ownership, think independently and perform tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Proven excellent customer service, written and verbal communication in English language.

  • Desirable to have extensive experience of Microsoft office capabilities (PowerPoint, Word and Excel). MS Access knowledge a plus.

  • Demonstrate basic understanding and knowledge of purchasing fundamentals

  • Effectively able to participate in or lead teams and collaborate cross-functionally if necessary.

  • Ability to assess and establish priorities for self and others. Demonstrate flexibility and understand/communicate sense of urgency.

  • Proven analytical skills.

  • A demonstrated "self-starter", highly-motivated and able to effectively achieve results.

  • Demonstrate ability to achieve accomplishments in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.

  • Candidate must be fluent in writing, speaking and understanding English.

  • Highly effective and concise communication and interpersonal relation skills, including speaking and writing.

Position Responsibilities and Duties

  • Populate MBO / AUX system bid tabs within specified time by analyzing supplier offers.

  • Ensure accuracy & completeness of the data.

  • Submit bid tabs to stakeholders & clarify queries if any.

  • Update database periodically or as per requirement.

  • Prepare and submit various management reports as per the schedule or on ad hoc basis.

  • Maintains the integrity of purchasing data in the system with error free transactions.

  • Meet all the service level agreements.

  • Interact with stakeholders to understand their requirements.

  • Act as a backup to other analysts that are out of office.

  • Continuously look for process improvement opportunities and document for stake holder review.

  • Prepare work instructions for existing/ new bid tab and reporting processes and update as necessary.
