Collection Professional (Provo): – Work with current customers who are 30-90 days behind on their payments. Collection Professionals proactively make out-bound calls to customers and collect payment on their Vivint systems to prevent disconnection from the services we provide. Majority of calls are to customers who were on auto-pay but switched credit card/bank info and forgot to update their information with us.
An ideal candidate has sales background OR is motivated by performance pay. Quick, concise, motivated by money, has life responsibilities, problem solver, retains information given from leadership. Collections wants reps who want to work hard to earn additional $$ per month. We have reps clearing $40-50k in this department with commissions.
Hours: full-time only. Department is open Mon-Sat. Saturdays are required.
Department hours: Mon-Fri: 8am – 8pm & Sat: 8-6pm
New Hire Shift is 11:30am – 8pm. You will work for four days Monday-Friday and 9:30am-6:00pm on Saturday.
Pay: $11/hour base + un-capped commission. We do have agents that are making anywhere from $800-$1200+ monthly in commission.
Confers with customers by telephone in an attempt to obtain payment and bring contract payments to current status.
Records information about financial status of customer and status of collection efforts.
Records information in customer PC file to update status of account and payment agreement.
Make collection decisions based on company policy and procedures.
Ability to process account adjustments.
Ability to research accounts.
Process and research returned mail.
Retains customers by addressing all of their needs including service, billing, updates to account, and renewals.
Assists supervisor by handling some escalated calls as needed.
Assists in training of new hires, providing them with side by side sessions.
Hourly rate 11/h plus commission
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
