Duties

The Center for Neurodegenerative Disease Research in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine invites applications for the position of Research Specialist A. The candidate will assist in neurodegenerative disease research using established and novel techniques including histology, molecular biology, and muscle physiology. Other duties will include working with transgenic mouse lines, protein purification, preparation of stock laboratory reagents, and organizing data and protocols. The ability to multi-task and work within a team environment is essential. Candidate will also be expected to attend regular laboratory meetings and activities at the Center.Position is contingent on continued funding.

Qualifications

BA/BS in Biology/Neuroscience or related field, and 0-1 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Some prior lab experience is desirable but not necessary. The ability to work in a team environment is essential. Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.Position contingent upon funding.
