Duties

Perform routine and complex lab procedures in all aspects of running high-throughput sequencing and microarray experiments. This includes accepting samples and meta data from clients, preparing libraries for sequencing, operating Illumina high-throughput sequencers, performing occasional routine minor informatics tasks,performing Agilent microarray sample preparations, hybridizations, and assessing sample and library quality using Agilent BioAnalyzers and related equipment.Tracking supplies and expenses, ordering reagents, interfacing with clients.Position is contingent on continued funding.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.Candidate should have knowledge of genetics and standard molecular biology procedures. e.g. RNA extreaction and gel eleltrophoresis. Specific knowledge of Illumia or Agilent equipment a plus but not necessary.
