The Market Sales Manager (MSM) will directly manage a team of field based non registered Personal Bankers / Relationship Managers. The MSM will drive client relationship management results through coaching and directing sales and service behaviors for banking products, small business products, client segmentation, and referrals. MSMs are responsible for holding personal bankers (PBs) and/or relationship managers (RMs) accountable to deepen client relationships by following established sales processes and building robust Consumer and Small Business Bank / Enterprise partner relationships. The MSM will act as a champion for identifying solutions to meet customer’s needs will comply with all rules and regulations for non registered employees when coaching performance and behaviors.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of or Relationship Managers (RMs) to drive sales growth, including: managing sales interactions, sales processes, outbound calling, sales deepening and Preferred Reward and Small Business results

  • Translate strategy into actionable plans for the market, diagnosing team performance and Financial Center gaps in order to develop action plans to drive sales productivity

  • Monitor and inspect Client Management process

  • Integrate across One Team to manage joint success by building and managing relationships with local banking center partners (Home Loans, US Trust, GWIM, BCM, Market Ops Mgr, Small Business, etc.) to ensure referral flow and execution of One Team (Note: while the creation and enhancement of partnerships across the company is encouraged, setting referral goals or targets for unregistered individuals for investment referrals to the broker dealer is not permissible)

  • Manage and execute end to end talent management process for RMs including market expansion, hiring, onboarding, proficiency of sales management; Perform performance reviews of all RMs and provide constructive feedback and coaching

  • Enforce policies and procedures and ensure adherence of team members

  • Partner with Market Ops Manager to ensure coordination and adherence of team members to operational policies, procedures

  • Administer superior sales supervision best practices in order to remain up to date on all Risk and Regulatory requirements

  • Drive an enhanced client experience

  • Responsible for molding the behavior and performance of all team members, while maintaining adherence to applicable securities and regulatory laws, policies and procedures

  • Resolve all client issues that are elevated to management level

  • Drive sales management routines

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience

Preferred Skills
