Job summary:

As a part of the Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) function of EY’s Americas Financial Services Organization (FSO), you will help strategically position our distinctive brand within the financial services marketplace. You will be a critical part of a team that raises awareness of our experience in advisory, audit, tax and transaction services and help develop and implement the marketing strategy and go-to-market initiatives for the insurance sector. Our programs are primarily executed throughout the Americas as well as on a global basis in coordination with our other regions.

Working closely with practice and business development professionals, you will play a pivotal role in helping us meet our go-to-market objectives and achievement of our revenue goals. You'll work independently and at certain times work with and manage others, receiving general direction rather than direct supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-develop/Develop and execute strategic marketing programs that use a variety of channels of communication (thought leadership, proprietary EY events, industry conferences, PR/media relations, social media, digital presence, etc.) that align with these issues/needs and the practice’s overall strategy

  • Assist the marketing lead with developing and managing marketing budget

  • Work with insurance practice leaders to identify our buyers’ business issues and needs

  • Working closely with subject matter experts, manage the creation and distribution of thought leadership papers/surveys/reports and marketing collateral (e.g. brochures, infographic)

  • Develop and execute effective proprietary EY events (e.g. peer-to-peer network roundtables, seminars, webcasts) and industry events

  • Co-manage/Manage client mailings, newsletters, media relations/PR and industry conference sponsorships

  • Team effectively with counterparts across BMC, business development, and global counterparts

  • Oversee several major or highly-complex projects that would require working with multiple stakeholders

  • Adjust marketing and communications programs based on effectiveness and track the return on investment of activities to be sure we are maximizing our investments

To qualify, candidates must have:

  • Understanding of advanced marketing and communication principles

  • Strong project management skills and proficiency at effectively managing multiple, complex and time-sensitive projects

  • Proven talent at building relationships and influencing without authority to gain support and commitment from others; mobilize people to take action; motivate others to meet EY and BMC strategic goals

  • Ability to effectively engage with senior sector leadership and navigate a matrixed environment.

  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills, including the ability to develop junior staff

  • Determination, drive and enthusiasm and ability to work independently

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • As the job involves preparing time-sensitive materials for clients (internal and external) and managing programs in a fast-paced environment, efficient time management and prioritization skills are required

  • A minimum of 4 years of related work experience preferably in professional services within the financial services industry

  • Bachelor’s degree, with a Marketing or Communication major preferred
