TheTeam Financial Advisor (TFA) role is a specific functional role aligned to aFinancial Advisor (FA) team for the purpose of concentrating on a targetedaspect of the Team’s practice. The primary focus of the TFA BusinessDevelopment role is to define the team’s client acquisition plan, execute onthe plan through client acquisition activities, and track towards the FA Team’sclient acquisition goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understandall aspects of an optimal practice and complete the training and developmentneeded to prepare for a successful career as a Financial Advisor

  • Identifyand establish target niche client segments and establish a strong reputationwithin those markets and the designations to support the practice’sspecialization

  • Maintaina well-developed and clear team marketing plan that includes a well-definedvalue proposition designed to attract target client segment, and marketingmaterials that support this strategy

  • Ensurethe team’s practice develops and maintains a clear brand within the chosenmarket

  • Maintaina detailed client acquisition plan that keeps the practice engaged inconsistent prospecting activities to meet specific goals around activity levelsand success

  • Establishclient acquisition targets, develop proposals, and track success toward thesegoals

  • Trackand review progress on leads proactively and regularly

  • Identifyleads and referrals through specific methods that work for your practice (e.g.sourcing and asking for personal introductions, intimate events, strategicnetworking, referral alliances, targeted seminars)

  • Organizeand execute the team’s client acquisition plan; through hosting intimate eventsand/or targeted seminars, strategic networking, identifying and coordinatingreferral alliances, and/or sourcing and asking for personal introductions

  • Managethe client acquisition pipeline utilizing an identified pipeline managementsystem, including profile information, next steps and timelines

  • Establishand maintain relationship with the management team and inform them of anycircumstances that require supervisory attention/review/approval per complianceguidelines and policies

  • Completerequired training, obtain industry licenses (Series 7 & 66), masterassessments, maintain continuing education requirements and meet minimumperformance standards

  • Sourceprospective clients, capitalize on referrals and assess customer needs

  • Deliverhighly customized solutions and through collaboration deliver the fullresources of Bank of America Merrill Lynch

NOTE: In addition to Business Development, this position may be considered forthe Relationship Management role

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Atminimum a Bachelors Degree

  • Demonstratedtrack record of success

  • Proficiencyin using Sales Force / Client Relationship Manager Tool

  • Strongunderstanding of the Financial Advisor role
