Job Title: Non-Medical Driver / Attendant
SUMMARY: Responsible for providing high quality non-emergency non-medical patient care and wheelchair/stretcher transportation while providing exceptional customer service. Responsible for carrying out the mission and goals ofAMC Medical Transportationassuring that safety remains the highest priority throughout the transport continuum.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Non-medical operations while demonstrating excellent driving judgment and due regard for public safety during operation and positioning of unit.
Responds to all assigned calls in the most appropriate, safe, and efficient manner to quickly assess the scene and request other help if needed.
Provides non-medical patient care in accordance with established procedures and prescribed local protocols and clinical practices.
May work with a partner and transport patients that require non-medical attendant care.
Completes appropriate transportation reports.
Maintains a thorough working knowledge of current standards of care, including mapping, street, and grid book systems.
Maintains unit and equipment in a clean, organized and ready condition after each response.
Ensures proper fuel, fluid, and tire pressure levels at all times. Reports equipment damage or malfunctions as prescribed.
Other duties as assigned
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Must be able to communicate and understand English verbally and in writing
Licenses and Certifications(must be valid, current and/or in good standing)
Valid Driver’s License
CPR (AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider or ARC CPR for Professional Rescuers)
City license where required

Use of patient movement equipment including wheelchairs and stretchers, equipment lifts and restraining devices

Preparing clear and concise reports
